Twitch VOD downloader for Mac
Vodsnip is a native Mac app for downloading Twitch VODs – built for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, with files that drop straight into Final Cut, Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.
Which version do I need?
- Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4 and newer): Download for Apple Silicon
- Intel Mac (most Macs from before late 2020): Download for Intel
Not sure? Click the Apple menu → About This Mac. If it says Chip: Apple M…, choose Apple Silicon. If it says Processor: Intel, choose Intel.
How to install on macOS
- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile. - Drag Vodsnip into the Applications folder.
- Open Vodsnip from Applications or Spotlight.
- If macOS says Vodsnip can't be opened, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. You only need to do this once.

Why does my Mac say the app can’t be opened?
macOS asks for confirmation the first time you open apps downloaded outside the App Store. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
